The architect requested a more sustainable option for XPS. Delta Membrane Systems Ltd Delta Glass Roof Board is a Foamglas innovation that is made from 100% recycled glass and has high compressive strength. Installed as part of a waterproofing system it’s a perfect alternative to the XPS insulation.
Installed correctly, the insulation raises the dew point below it so reduces the internal condensation risks, keeps the internal environment warm, and therefore uses less energy to heat. Additionally, the insulation forms part of the waterproofing system above to keep the deck dry.
